About me!
I Have Too Many Stamps
In the summer of 2024, I learned that my grandmother has a significant number of stamps. She collected them when she was a kid, and the collection covers six continents and a wide variety of content, from apples to Abraham Lincoln. As of late, the stamps she has collected have been sitting in old scrapbooks in a bin in the closet. After learning this, I politely asked if I could take them to look at and then return them, but instead she decided to gift her collection to me.
I was immediately fascinated by the range of places and subject matter. I wanted a way to look at them individually, sort them, and view them as a full collection. This led me to scan around 800 stamps (and counting!) and build a website in Neocities to showcase them. The website allows you to see all of the stamps at once, click to view them more closely, and sort them by subject matter.
This project is currently a work in progress, and I’m hoping to add more functionality soon, such as descriptions for all of the stamps and additional sorting categories.
